Not just pencil drawing with Jill Tichenor

In this class, Jill Tichenor will address fundamentals of drawing using materials such as ink, markers and pastel pencils. Drawing with such materials can be unforgiving. Yet the skills we can learn or strengthen from not erasing can build problem-solving, shading techniques, alternative proportions. About The Instructor

Jill Tichenor has a B.A. in Theatre/Film Design from the University of Kansas. She has been an active member of the MidAmerica Pastel Society for over 10 years. She has participated in art events and gallery shows all over the metro, including Westport Art Fair, Heartland Art Show, Buttonwood Art Space, Cathy Kline Art Gallery, Lawrence Art Guild, Rice Gallery, Brush Creek Plein-Air event, and Stems Plein-Air event. She won Leawood’s Arti Gras Juror’s Choice Award in 2018, and two awards through the Stems Plein-Air event in Overland Park, KS, including the People’s Choice in 2018 and 2nd Place for Pastels in 2019..
