CLASS DESCRIPTION

Pen & Ink Drawing

Tour the effects of simple tools with limited colors to achieve pen and ink work. In this class Jill Tichenor will introduce students to how she uses the tools for exploring ink drawings. There will be demos and drawing exercises in class to reinforce what students learn.

Westport:
Wednesdays, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Overland Park Tuesdays, 1:30PM – 3:30PM

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Jill Tichenor has a B.A. in Theatre/Film Design from the University of Kansas. She has been an active member of the MidAmerica Pastel Society for over 10 years. She has participated in art events and gallery shows all over the metro, including Westport Art Fair, Heartland Art Show, Buttonwood Art Space, Cathy Kline Art Gallery, Lawrence Art Guild, Rice Gallery, Brush Creek PleinAir event, and Stems Plein-Air event. She won Leawood’s Arti Gras Juror’s Choice Award in 2018, and two awards through the Stems Plein-Air event in Overland Park, KS, including the People’s Choice in 2018 and 2nd Place for Pastels in 2019
