Description
Black Ink Paper: Blotto-Teal
Black Ink's line of creative decorative and handmade papers offers artists and crafters a vast selection of unique papers imported from all over the world. Uses include mixed media applications, book arts, home decor, and more.
These unique blotto prints are handmade from the Lokta bush and dyed with natural coloring from indigenous fruits and vegetables of Nepal. The pattern is achieved by folding the paper when wet, then opening the paper and applying natural dyes into the folds, then refolding the paper and “smushing and blotting” the color into the folds to create the soft feathery tie-dye effect once the paper is unfolded. Each sheet is then hung to dry. These blotto prints are acid-free as well as environmentally friendly. These papers are also “tree-free” papers, being that they are made from the Lokta bush which regenerates after being harvested.
